Deodorants are an integral part of our daily personal care routines. They help reduce body odor, boost confidence in social situations, and contribute to good hygiene. However, not all deodorants are created equal. Many conventional products are filled with potentially harmful chemicals that can impact your health, such as aluminum and parabens. Choosing non-toxic skincare products, including deodorants, is a step towards reducing your exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals. Today, I’m sharing my review of Pure Haven deodorant—a product that promises safety and effectiveness without compromise.
Pure Haven Deodorant Review
I began my journey toward healthier personal care products after learning about the questionable ingredients in baby products. Then, after doing research on ingredients in mainstream deodorant formulations, I discovered that most of them contained harmful chemicals with potential health risks. (Interested in Old Spice? Refer to my blog post Is Old Spice Deodorant Safe?.)
This sparked my curiosity and encouraged me to dig deeper into safer alternatives. Pure Haven is one of those non-toxic skincare and personal care companies that are transparent about their ingredients. My first experience with them was very positive when I tried their non-toxic shampoo. Frankly, I fell in love with the product as it did wonders to my hair. Deodorant was next. With high expectations for a product that could work as effectively as conventional deodorants without harmful chemicals, I decided to give it a try.
What Is Pure Haven Deodorant?
To begin with, it is a natural, non-toxic deodorant designed to neutralize odor without exposing your body to harmful ingredients. What sets it apart is its use of safe, plant-based ingredients and essential oils to maintain freshness.
Unlike traditional antiperspirants, it uses no aluminum that has raised concerns about its potential link to health issues. (Learn more in my blog post Does Dove Deodorant Have Aluminum?.) Instead, it relies on natural odor-fighting ingredients like baking soda, arrowroot powder, and non-nano zinc oxide. Moreover, the brand emphasizes that their products are free from synthetic fragrances, parabens, phthalates, and other harmful additives commonly found in personal care products.

Pure Haven Deodorant Ingredients
Baking soda deodorant ingredients: Maranta Arundinacea (Arrowroot) Powder, Cocos Nucifera (Organic Coconut) Oil, Polyglyceryl-3 Beeswax, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda), Ricinus Communis (Organic Castor) Seed Oil, Mentha Piperita (Organic Peppermint) Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Organic Tea Tree) Oil.
To start with, all the ingredients are clean and recognizable. Thus, arrowroot powder helps absorb moisture, and baking soda neutralizes odors. Although baking soda is safe to eat, it can be too alkaline for some people’s skin and may cause irritation. Therefore, discontinue using this deodorant if irritation develops and try their baking soda-free option.
Non-baking soda deodorant ingredients: Solanum Tuberosum (Potato) Starch, Cocos Nucifera (Organic Coconut) Oil, Stearyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Polyglyceryl-3 Beeswax, Zinc Oxide*, Mentha Piperita (Organic Peppermint) Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Organic Tea Tree) Oil, Tocopherol (Non-GMO) *Non-Nano.
Apparently, the ingredients used instead of arrowroot powder and baking soda are potato starch and non-nano zinc oxide.
Next, both options feature organic peppermint and tea tree essential oils to aid in odor protection. They also contain coconut oil to help moisturize and soothe the skin.
Besides, both deodorants are free from endocrine-disrupting chemicals and contain no synthetic fragrances or dyes.
Additionally, please note that stearyl alcohol in the non-baking soda option is not “alcohol” in the common sense of the word. In fact, it is a fatty alcohol that appears as white, waxy granules or flakes, used as an emollient. Hence, it is not drying at all.
Above all, I appreciate the transparency of the ingredient list as it aligns with my commitment to using and recommending non-toxic skincare products. (Learn more about the company in my Pure Haven Review.)
Packaging
First, the deodorant comes in a sleek, cylindrical tube with a screw-off lid. Second, the design is minimalistic, compact, and travel friendly. In an ideal world, there would be no plastic. In this world, though, plastic seems to be a convenient material for packaging many a cosmetic product, including deodorants.
Price
While this deodorant is slightly pricier than drugstore brands, it’s important to consider the long-term health benefits of using safer personal care products. Plus, it’s a good value for a high-quality product.
Where To Buy
As of today, you can purchase the deodorants only on the company’s website, namely:

Does Pure Haven Deodorant Work?
After months of use of a non-baking soda deodorant, I can confidently say that it works. It keeps me feeling fresh throughout the day, even during my workouts. I’ve noticed no harsh reactions, and it doesn’t leave any residue on my clothes. The best part is knowing that I avoid harmful chemicals while maintaining effective odor protection.
Nevertheless, from time to time I detox my armpits to help my natural deodorant do its job effectively. Also, an armpit detox can help during the adjustment period when you’re transitioning to natural deodorants. I do this by applying a clay-based mask in the underarm area to unclog my pores, draw out impurities, and prepare my skin for a non-toxic deodorant.

Conclusion: Is Pure Haven Deodorant Good For You?
If You Are Looking For A Natural, Non-Toxic Deodorant To Neutralize Odor Without Exposing Your Body To Harmful Ingredients, Pure Haven Deodorant Is A Great Option.
In conclusion, switching to non-toxic skincare products and personal care products, like a deodorant, is a small but meaningful way to prioritize your health. Whether you’re concerned about endocrine-disrupting chemicals or looking for effective natural alternatives, this product delivers on its promises.
